EAG London 2020 postponed to 2021
Dear Sportsperson and Sports Organisation,
It is with great regret that we are writing to inform you all that EAG 2020 will be postponed due to the remarkable and unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic we are witnessing in the world today.
EAG London and EAG Central Board have been in constant conversation with regards to the current situations. Following the latest UK Government statement where large scale events will be banned from the end of this week, and the fact that our sports participants, family and friends are all facing a situation where they cannot travel or cannot travel safely, with the blessings of the EAG Central Board, we will be postponing the London European Armenian Games to next Easter (2-5 April 2021). EAG London had planned a great event for you all and we look forward to sharing it with you hopefully a year from now.
We would like to thank those of you who have faithfully and timely settled your participation and/or evening event fees, which will confirm your place at next year’s Games, with no additional costs. At this stage we will be unable to offer a refund to anyone/group that has paid their participation and/or evening event fees as we now have the task of working with our suppliers to best manage this situation. It is not a position we would have wanted to be in, however, the financial ramifications of having to postpone are going to be a burden for the next few weeks and months. We will be in constant communications with you all with regards to this situation as best we can.
If anyone needs a letter from us for their travel purposes please let us know, we are sure that all your travel is covered by insurance and given the state of all domestic and international travel bans there will be no issues here.
Once again, we are deeply sorry we have come to this situation, something completely out of our hands and as a community we need to fight together and look after one another and hope this nightmare is over sooner rather than later.
Thank you for your continued support and we shall keep you informed of all aspects and developments in the coming weeks.
